Our firm is poised for a controller to establish the framework for growth for an expanding facility manager and have impact for future growth and expansion.Facts about the firm: 20 years of premier servicing across the industry premier large vendors recognize them for their cutting edge solutions and operational excellence Clients herald them for great service all around and expansive solutions offeredJob Title: Controller Location: Brooklyn, NY Salary: $105,000 – $115,000Key responsibilities:As the Controller, you will lead and expand the Accounting team Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO and working closely with the COO, you will oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting Provide oversight for all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process Analyze financial data and provide valuable insights to management Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures Manage cash flow and forecasting activities Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and legal requirements Cultivate relationships with external auditors and tax advisors Lead and mentor the accounting team, comprising accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing specialists Expand the accounting department, aiming for a team of 6 professionals Oversee P&L and FP&A responsibilities Prepare financial statements and reports Track key metrics, including revenue, labor cost, gross profit margin, billable hours, utilization rate, average bill rate, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgets Collaborate with other departments to enhance financial processesQualificationsBS in Accounting or Finance. 5 + years of Accountant management or controller capacity experience Team leadership experience Experience with audit and tax preparation for regulation and compliance adherence
