Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, D.C., is seeking a dynamic Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of experience. The ideal candidate should possess outstanding academic credentials from a top-tier school, strong writing skills, and must be a current member of the DC bar or eligible for waive-in. Appellate litigation experience is required, with a preference for past appellate clerkship experience. Duties: Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Assist in trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and case strategy development. Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings as required. Collaborate with partners and senior associates to analyze and develop case strategies. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members. Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the District of Columbia Bar or eligibility for waive-in. 2-3 years of relevant litigation experience. Exceptional academic credentials from a top-tier law school. Strong writing, research, and analytical skills. Appellate litigation experience, with a preference for past appellate clerkship experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
