Clinical Research Program Manager

Theprogram manager will work closely with the principal investigator in collaboration with adiverse group of researchers (oncologists, palliative care clinicians, psychiatrists, psychologists)to oversee the day-to-day administration of program activities. The program manager willcontribute to the development of study protocols and procedures, and the preparation andsubmission of research manuscripts, abstracts, and grant applications. The program managerwill be responsible for hiring and onboarding new staff as well as maintaining a workingknowledge of clinical research conduct to support study-related activities and initiatives acrossthe program locally and nationally.QualificationsBA/BS degree required• Minimum of 2 years of management experience requiredResearch and program responsibilities will include the following:• Collaborate with the principal investigator to oversee all laboratory projects• Work closely with the principal investigator on grant submissions, including summarizinggrant instructions and required elements, assisting with writing research proposals,developing templates for required documents, and collecting required documentationfrom investigators and study sites• Assist with manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed journals, including performingliterature reviews, outlining study methods and findings, and editing manuscripts prior tosubmission• Assist with abstract and presentation submissions for local, regional, national, andinternational conferences• Assist with writing protocols for CARE studies, including Institutional Review Boardapplications and informed consent documents, as well as defining project timelines andmaintaining study amendments and continuing reviews• Collaborate with the principal investigator to develop standard operating procedures andtemplates to improve efficiency and consistency across all studies• Oversee all Institutional Review Board communications regarding projects• Monitor progression of clinical trials against project milestones• Oversee all study procedures, compliance, and communication with all collaboratinginstitutions for multi-site trials• Oversee all data collection in collaboration with clinical research coordinators for accuracyand compliance• Oversee internal and external audits and coordinate all processes with Data Safety and Monitoring Boards for all clinical trials• Act as the point of contact for CARE members to provide direction and guidance regardingday-to-day issues and activities as well as interpretation of hospital and regulatory policies• Maintain centralized training records for all research staff• Maintain and update CARE email distribution lists and manage the CARE meetingschedule, including presentations, journal clubs, and guest speakers• Work with the Development Office to support activities for CARE donors, including PatientAdvisory Councils• Oversee program website to ensure content is current and accurate; manage CARE studyemail accounts and respond to inquiries; submit study team reimbursementsManagement responsibilities will include the following:• Manage hiring process for new clinical research coordinators and project manager positions• Onboard and oversee new research staff, interns, and volunteers• Serve as liaison regarding issues related to human resources• Assess computer equipment acquisition and training needs• Manage CARE research space• Oversee system access and support the use of research technology systems• Perform other managerial and administrative responsibilities as assigned to support theevolving needs of the CARE research programAdditional Job Details (if applicable)• Master’s degree or PhD preferred• Minimum of 5 years of research experience preferredRemote TypeOnsiteWork Location60 Fenwood RoadScheduled Weekly Hours40Employee TypeRegularWork ShiftDay (United States of America)Pay Range$78,936.00 - $128,928.80/AnnualGrade8At Mass General Brigham, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the unique value each team member brings to our organization.
