CT/X-Ray Tech, PRN Nights

Position Title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technician – PRN (Sienna Convenient Care Center) Job Summary: This position performs Computed Tomography (CT) scans to create cross‑sectional images of tissues and internal organs for diagnostic and treatment purposes. It requires availability to cover overnight shifts on Sundays from 7:00PM to 7:00AM. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support. Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) required; Registered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT‑CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB‑CT) in computed tomography, or one of the following: Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT‑R), Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT‑N), or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Minimum of one year of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist or two years of experience as a Radiological Technologist with CT education or experience. Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others. Responsibilities Perform CT scans on patients: prepare patients, explain procedure, administer contrast when necessary, position patients, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of the scan. Enter and monitor patient data. Perform quality assurance on CT equipment. Assist with initial and renewal application for ACR and other accreditation. Identify and report any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunctions to department management. Takes emergency call within the department. May be required to work weekends and float to other locations as needed. Ensure safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adhere to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service. Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency, support department-based goals, and serve as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
