What You Will Be Doing Support and manage the Banquets department, ensuring thorough communication with all stakeholders Oversee the setup, execution and breakdown of all events—social, corporate, wedding and internal Ensure timely, appropriate setup of all functions and meetings, maintaining food, beverage and meeting standards Supervise, lead and motivate the Banquet team—including captains, servers, bartenders and house attendants—to achieve exceptional guest service and associate engagement Handle administrative tasks such as payroll reports, scheduling, forecasts, point‑of‑sale procedures and inventory Ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and standards Oversee banquet billing and reconciliation Monitor, evaluate and audit food, beverage, service offering and standards to meet guest satisfaction goals Promote a positive work environment, engage colleagues and leaders through consistent communication and measurable improvement plans Lead the selection, training, development and career growth of banquet and event colleagues, and support the broader food and beverage division Ensure Fairmont brand standards and programs are maintained Guarantee sanitation, cleanliness and maintenance of event spaces, kitchens and public areas exceed expectations Promote health and safety awareness and enforce emergency procedures Contribute ideas, suggestions and feedback to improve overall hotel operations and departmental communication Drive Fairmont Orchid’s environmental program and division‑specific initiatives toward sustainable operations Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 5 years of F&B operations experience in luxury resorts and 2 years in a similar banquet leadership role Experience in high‑volume hotel environments desirable Creative mindset, comfortable leading projects and expanding responsibilities Outstanding social and PR skills for customer engagement Experience with high‑volume banquet, outdoor catering, all‑day dining, theme bars and fine dining required Networking skills with wedding and MICE planners Sommelier or mixologist training an advantage Experience with a unionized environment an advantage Additional Information Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 USD Team and environment: energetic and creative Food & Beverage ‘Ohana at the Fairmont Orchid, focused on guest satisfaction and brand reputation Visa requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; no assistance with U.S. work authorization EEO statement: We are an inclusive company committed to attracting, recruiting and promoting diverse talent #J-18808-Ljbffr Fairmont Hotels & Resorts
