About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid state license required, compact license must be in hand at submission Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratios of 1-3 - Familiarity with Epic charting system Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. Candidates should have experience in postpartum care. The nurse will work 3 night shifts per week from 18:00 to 06:30. Weekend shifts will be required to meet staffing needs. The unit typically cares for high-risk obstetrical patients within a culturally diverse population. The nurse may be required to circulate during cesarean sections. The average daily census is between 15-20 patients. The facility accommodates a range of patient age groups including neonates, infants, and adults. Nurses will be expected to assist with various obstetric and postpartum procedures. Candidates must demonstrate skills in critical areas such as administering blood products, conducting assessments, and managing complications. Candidates should be prepared to float to meet facility needs. Required skills include labor support, neonatal assessments, breastfeeding support, and patient education. Travelers will float between nearby facilities as needed.
