$1642.20/week - Job Summary: Provide advanced ECG monitoring and assessment of patient cardiac status through accurate interpretation of ECG strips and arrhythmias. Respond promptly to life-threatening rhythm changes, initiate and record codes, and troubleshoot monitoring equipment to ensure continuous, accurate cardiac monitoring. Responsibilities: Conduct electrocardiograms with proper electrode placement across various clinical settings. Communicate clearly and effectively with charge nurses, colleagues, and physicians regarding patient status and findings. Enter, verify, and update patient orders within the electronic medical record system. Retrieve and review laboratory results, alerting the charge nurse to pertinent information. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with current organizational standards and policies. Operate and troubleshoot monitoring and medical devices ensuring safety and functionality. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross within the past year. Completion of a Dysrhythmia Course. Proven experience in ECG monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation preferred. Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
