You will see many of them along with the mental health challenges in the Individuals (aka the Program participants) that we serve. You will also learn about the different agencies and resources we work with to help you provide support directly, or indirectly, to the Individuals.There will be chores:Your work will directly improve the quality of life for the Individuals you support. You will learn techniques to help them have positive interactions with others and reach their goals. You will assist Individuals with their personal needs (e.g., hygiene matters like baths/showers, changing clothes/adult briefs, teeth brushing, medication reminders, etc.) and with social needs (e.g., prepare meals, clean, and engage with them through exercise/movement, games and/or transporting them in your, or company, vehicle to community activities, etc.).You will also keep accurate progress notes and proactively communicate information with your team about the Individuals' needs – taking care of them like you would with your own family.There will be chats, C.A.R.E., & cheers:You will participate in all required training, team, and company meetings to build your knowledge, skills, and abilities to grow in the family.
