Medical Credentialing Coordinator

Job Overview Harney District Hospital is seeking an Administrative Assistant/Medical Staff Coordinator to join their team. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Role Summary The Executive Assistant to the CEO and CMO/Medical Staff Coordinator provides high-level administrative, operational, and credentialing support to the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Medical Officer and Medical Staff leadership of a rural critical access hospital. This dual-role position serves as a central liaison between the CEO, CMO, Medical Staff, leadership team, providers, and community stakeholders. Responsibilities Advise and support the executive leadership on all administrative and operational matters. Coordinate credentialing, privileging, provider onboarding and compliance with accreditation standards. Maintain confidential records and manage diverse priorities in a fast-paced environment. Act as the central liaison between executive leadership, providers, the medical staff, and community stakeholders. Mandatory Requirements Advanced knowledge of modern secretary and general office principles, practices and methods. Excellent English language skills, including spelling, composition, punctuation and grammar. Knowledge of business and legal formats, record‑keeping systems, word‑processing and spreadsheet applications (ex: MS Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint). High‑school education plus additional secretarial training and over three years of experience, or a satisfactory combination of experience and training that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Licenses / Certifications Certifications in medical staff credentialing and medical services administration desirable. Desirable Requirements Previous healthcare experience in provider enrollment and credentialing. Post‑secondary education in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration. Strong organizational skills, confidentiality, adaptability and the ability to manage diverse priorities. Equal Opportunity Harney County Health District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
