Medical Director for PACE Program
NeighborHealth is seeking an experienced Medical Director for the administrative and clinical development, and supervision of, primary care staff in PACE. This role will oversee the performance of PACE clinical care, in collaboration with clinical senior leadership and management. In addition, the Medical Director will provide direct primary patient care for PACE participants.
What You'll Do
As Medical Director, you will provide strategic clinical leadership for a PACE program serving more than 900 participants. You will oversee medical affairs, clinical quality, utilization management, and provider performance while ensuring exceptional participant-centered care.
- Lead clinical strategy, medical policy, and quality improvement initiatives to advance outcomes, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide oversight, mentorship, and support to Primary Care Providers and contracted medical providers, fostering clinical excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Provide leadership to the Interdisciplinary Team to guide complex care decisions, transitions of care, and management of high-risk participants.
- Drive innovation, population health management, and operational effectiveness through data, analytics, and technology-enabled care models.
- Collaborate with organizational leadership to achieve strategic, financial, quality, and growth objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, specialists, community providers, and academic partners to strengthen the continuum of care.
- Serve as a physician leader and advocate for a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional participant experience.
Additional responsibilities:
- Partner with NeighborHealth's CMO and senior leadership to align clinical strategies, ensuring the PACE program's localized care model meets broader enterprise objectives.
- Collaborate with Information Technology, coding, billing, and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting, documentation, reimbursement, and resource allocation.
- Support grant development, clinical reporting, and other organizational initiatives that advance the mission and growth of Neighborhood PACE.
- Chair and participate in PACE clinical governance activities, including standing committees and CMS required planning.
- Communicate policies, expectations, and organizational priorities while addressing staff concerns and promoting a culture of collaboration and accountability.

What You'll Bring:
- DO or MD and board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required.
- Current MD licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- 5 years of Clinical Leader experience with exceptional problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of the treatment of Geriatric Care.
- BLS Certification.
- Required to obtain and maintain professional licensure and clinical privileges at NeighborHealth and Boston Medical Center.
- Ability to use data to evaluate outcomes required.
- Working knowledge and experience with electronic medical record systems, performance dashboards, database products, and analysis tools.
- Must have the ability to lead change in an organization and possess excellent interpersonal, communication and teaching skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- This position operates in a professional office and clinic environment.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing administrative and computer-based tasks.
- Occasionally required to lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds (such as files, office supplies, or small equipment).
- Must have adequate visual acuity, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform essential job functions.
- May occasionally move between clinic and administrative areas and be exposed to a typical clinical setting.
- Expected to follow all NeighborHealth and OSHA safety policies and procedures, including maintaining a safe and ergonomic work environment.
- Reads, understands and complies with all Standards of Conduct, Joint Commission policies, requirements set forth by the United States Department of Health and Human Services' Health Resources and Services Administration pursuant to Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act, applicable State regulations and guidelines, and all laws related to position responsibilities and employment at NeighborHealth.

- Upholds safety policies, practices, and procedures including safety, fire safety, electrical safety, proper body mechanics and material handling, office/ergonomic safety, and other employee safety measures.
Salary
- Salary: from $235,000 to $300,000 based on years of experience.
