Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a 13-week travel contract in a large hospital radiology department, requiring at least 18 months of experience and comfort working independently in an OR setting.

Details

• Hospital-based radiology department within a 900-bed acute care facility
• Procedures performed in both standard radiology and OR settings
• Experience with GE imaging equipment is required
• Epic EMR used for charting
• 3x10 hour day shifts, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No on-call required
• 30 hours per week
• May float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of experience as an X-Ray Technologist
• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
• Active NJ State RT License required (license required if applicable)
• Current ARRT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with GE imaging equipment
• Must be comfortable working in the OR
• Must be able to work independently in a high-volume facility
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Demonstrated knowledge of imaging equipment setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform imaging procedures in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines
• Assess and maintain patient safety, comfort, and physiological well-being throughout procedures
• Monitor for procedure revisions and coordinate daily imaging workflow
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers who have reached one year of continuous assignment at this facility must take a required break before returning
