Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3+ years of relevant nursing experience and Epic charting familiarity.

Details

• Inpatient Labor and Delivery unit providing intrapartum care
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00p-7:30a, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
• Floating required based on facility needs
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

• Provides direct care to inpatient obstetric patients, including fetal monitoring, medication administration, and patient education
• Participates in intrapartum care for labor, delivery, and surgical delivery of patients and newborns
• Performs initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
• Collaborates with the healthcare team and contributes to a culture of safety and continuous learning
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• RTO limited to no more than 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Previous Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service if they were on assignment for more than 1 year
