Work Environment

You will be working in a collaborative and supportive rehabilitation facility located in the vibrant community of The Villages, Florida. This onsite position allows the Physical Therapist to work closely with both patients and an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services within a comfortable setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' physical needs and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility and functionality.
• Direct and supervise the implementation of physical therapy treatment approaches that prioritize prevention of disability, pain relief, and enhancement of muscle function.
• Oversee the work of physical therapy assistants to ensure the adherence to established care plans while providing mentorship and guidance.
• Utilize diagnostic and prognostic testing methods to assess the physical abilities of clients and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Evaluate and recommend modifications to the home environment to facilitate client independence and safety.
• Administer therapeutic treatments, including manual therapy, exercises, and modalities like traction or electrical stimulation as prescribed.
• Document and maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, adhering to regulatory and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members during case conferences to holistically address and manage client care.
• Instruct clients and their families in at-home exercise regimens and the safe use of physical therapy equipment.
• Periodic reassessment of client progress and communication of changes to the treatment plan as necessary.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay informed of best practices in physical therapy.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current Physical Therapy licensure in good standing in the state of Florida, along with CPR certification.
• Demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate, and design effective treatment plans.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport with patients and families.
• A commitment to clinical excellence and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a rehabilitation facility is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt treatment approaches based on client feedback and progress.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The competitive salary range for this role is between USD 100,000 and 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
