Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with orthopedic injuries or conditions to determine their treatment needs.
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities like heat, cold, and electrical stimulation.
• Providing ongoing consultations to healthcare providers to facilitate a seamless continuum of care for each patient.
• Maintaining clear and accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, progress, and outcomes that adhere to professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Actively engaging in patient education, helping patients and their families understand their conditions, treatment plans, and at-home care strategies.
• Collaborating with intra- and interdisciplinary team members, including physicians and occupational therapists, to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participating in community outreach initiatives to promote health and wellness.
• Supervising and mentoring assigned support staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and optimal patient care.
• Regularly attending staff meetings and participating in continuing education opportunities to enhance expertise and stay updated with the latest rehabilitation practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic issues, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Patients range from young athletes to active seniors, each with unique rehabilitation goals. By employing targeted interventions, you will play a crucial role in fostering their recovery and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state license in Physical Therapy.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Demonstrated capabilities in written and verbal communication, with the ability to provide clear instructions to patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Proficient computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.

Preferred Experience
