Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite in a home care setting, allowing you to provide personalized therapy in the comfort of our clients' homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their functional capabilities and limitations, establishing clear and achievable goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, employing evidence-based techniques that address specific orthopedic issues.
• Deliver hands-on therapy, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation to reduce pain and enhance functionality.
• Educate patients and their families on appropriate at-home exercises and self-care strategies to support recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously in compliance with state regulations and practice protocols to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including elderly individuals, athletes recovering from injuries, and postoperative patients. Each client requires a tailored approach, often involving complex assessments and varied rehabilitation protocols. Your role will involve not just physical recovery, but also emotional support as patients navigate their healing journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Active licensure in the state of Florida is mandatory to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience, which may include internships or residency along with professional practice, is essential.
• Extensive knowledge of orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal injuries, fractures, and post-operative rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities and manual therapy techniques aimed at pain management and enhancing physical function.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a home healthcare setting is a plus, enabling you to adapt therapy to home environments.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with patients of varying backgrounds and levels of understanding, ensuring their engagement and cooperation throughout the treatment process.
