Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Director of Nursing – LTC, oversee the operation of nursing units and provide clinical supervision to staff on assigned units.
- Ensure quality resident care through teaching and supervision of staff on respective shifts.
- Communicate with the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Manager about identified and potential unit problems; collaborate to resolve issues.
- In the absence of the Director of Nursing and Administrator, make sound administrative decisions within the defined scope of responsibility; coordinate with leadership during off-shift/weekends.
- Foster collaboration with medical staff, department managers, ancillary services, and residents/families; model professional behavior under pressure.
- Maintain familiarity with NYSDOH requirements; demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; ensure computer literacy for documentation and reporting.

Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure (active required)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or RQI system)
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience in long-term care with supervisor/clinical lead experience across multiple units (not limited to a single unit)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
- CPI certification obtained within 90 days of hire
- Ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff and operate in a skilled nursing facility environment
