Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience preferred License: New York License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, COVID Must-Have: Ability to handle very high ratios (1:9) Description: Unit Notes: Must be able to handle very high ratios of patients. Trauma Level: Level III Trauma Center. Number of Beds/Trauma Bays: 30. RN's will be given competency exams upon assignment. Travelers depending on the assigned unit are expected to take competency exams and must pass with a score of 80%. Exams include: 1) Medication Test covering Adult & Pediatric medication administration. 2) Basic Dysrhythmia Recognition Exam, requiring identification of rhythm and knowledge of treatment or intervention. Weekend and holiday requirements are applicable. No call or standby requirements exist. No floating requirements necessary. Scrub color or dress code is dark blue or white. Charting System: MEDITECH.
