Mechanical Machine Builder
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Machine Builder to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for building, assembling, and maintaining industrial machinery and equipment while supporting production and engineering teams to ensure high-quality output and efficient operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all OSHA, MIOSHA, and company safety policies and procedures
- Build and assemble blow molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and sub-assemblies using a variety of tools and equipment
- Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems and installed equipment as assigned
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, and production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and communicate material shortages
- Operate power tools and material-handling equipment, including forklifts and cranes
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
- Develop sketches or specifications for parts or products to be manufactured
- Accurately complete daily timekeeping, payroll, and required documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant job experience or a skilled trades/technical certification
- Experience working with large assemblies and industrial machinery
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Working knowledge of both metric and inch measurement systems
- Basic electrical knowledge and general computer skills
- Strong problem-solving ability with high attention to detail
