Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to effectively identify the unique needs of patients, developing tailored treatment plans that reflect those insights. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver high-quality care to individuals, couples, and families. Facilitate psychoeducational groups that address common mental health concerns, helping clients build a sense of community and mutual support. Assist clients in developing essential coping, problem-solving, and communication skills through guided practices and interactive techniques. Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, offering immediate support and resources to those in need. Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of client interactions, adhering to all legal and ethical standards in the mental health field. Participate in ongoing professional development by staying updated with the latest research and treatment advancements in mental health therapy. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow therapists to ensure holistic care delivery. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. You will employ culturally responsive approaches to therapy, ensuring that all care is respectful and relevant to the life experiences of each patient. Your commitment to inclusivity will strengthen relationships and contribute to better therapeutic outcomes. Qualifications A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Valid and current independent licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California, allowing for unsupervised practice. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and proficiency with digital communication tools essential for remote work. Clinical proficiency in understanding mental health disorders and familiarity with various evidence-based treatment modalities. Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy using inclusive and culturally responsive methods. Preferred Experience Previous experience in an outpatient psychiatry setting is advantageous. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices. Continuing education or certifications in culturally sensitive therapy practices or trauma-informed care. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is between USD 70,000 and 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
