Award-winning clinical Dermatology practice has an urgent full-time opening for an experienced Dermatology Medical Assistant with at LEAST 2 years' experience in General Dermatology, suture removal, and procedure assistance to join our team full-time in Silver Spring. Starts with immediate Benefits ASAP

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2+ year's recent experience in clinical Dermatology

• Lead Medical Assistant or Medical Assistant

• Dermatology procedures: keloid removal, skintag removal, suture removal, sterilization, specimen collection

• Post-op physician instructions, PA's, prescription refills

• Scribing

• Proficiency in ModMed / EMA (Electronic Medical Assistant) for scribing preferred

PAY: $23.07/hr - $25.65/hr | Based on experience

Monday to Friday, 8a - 5p

JOB SUMMARY

• Interview patients to obtain post-op vital signs.

• Show patients to exam room, procedure room or operative room and prepare for physician.

• Record medical history, medications, allergies, test results in EMA/ModMed.

• Ensure proper consent forms are obtained prior to treatment • Collect tissue specimens.

• Explain procedures, medications, & post-op wound care instructions.

• Assist physician with procedures: Sterilize instruments, hand instruments, provide injections.

• Post-op wound care: Apply dressings, suture removal, change bandages.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Recent MA experience in Clinical Dermatology for at least 2 to 3 years.

• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology

• Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications

• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable

• Management and organizational skills to support the leadership

• Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of medical-surgical protocols.

• Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.

• Knowledge of EMA for managing patient records.

• Ability to accurately label, treat, explain, and respond to patient needs promptly.

• Familiarity with inhalation therapies HIGHLY PREFERRED
