A well-established, family-owned community bank is seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Loan Officer to join its growing team. This organization has been recognized as a top workplace and is known for its strong culture and commitment to employee development.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in business development, a solid foundation in accounting and economics, and a deep understanding of the local market. This role plays a key part in expanding the commercial lending portfolio and strengthening client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking and relationship-building within the local market
- Assess client financial needs and recommend appropriate lending solutions
- Review and analyze title reports or surveys to identify potential risks
- Structure and negotiate loan terms that are mutually beneficial
- Ensure clients understand loan conditions and terms
- Monitor delinquent accounts and determine appropriate action
- Deliver high-level client service while creating value for both the client and the bank
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline the lending process
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospective clients and business opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of commercial lending or related experience
- Demonstrated success in business development and loan origination
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial statements
- Familiarity with the local market and economic environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
