Position Overview

KēSTA I.T. is seeking an Intermediate Project Manager to lead medium to complex, enterprise-wide software and IT automation projects, including large multi-year initiatives.

In this role, you will monitor project progress and report it to management while working with a wide range of stakeholders: executive and IT management, division management, system users, agency personnel, consultants, vendors, contract staff, and representatives from other agencies. You will apply both PMBOK practices and Agile project management within an IT governance framewoThe role reports to the Director of IT PMO. You will receive guidance from senior-level business and technical managers, use considerable judgment within objectives and boundaries set by management, and may provide guidance and assistance to lower-level Project Managers. Success means delivering projects that meet agency objectives and comply with policy and practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage medium to complex enterprise-wide system and IT automation projects, including large, multi-year initiatives
• Apply PMBOK practices, including cost management, benefit analysis, risk management, resource management, and change control
• Apply Agile project management and IT governance methodologies, tools, and approaches to drive successful project implementations
• Monitor project progress and communicate status to management
• Partner with executive management, IT management, division management, system users, and agency personnel throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, contract staff, and representatives from other agencies involved in the project
• Analyze multiple variables across complex enterprise systems to develop solutions and resolve project issues
• Work with the project team and impacted stakeholders to solve problems, in both cooperative and non-cooperative situations
• Select the most pertinent guidelines and practices for each project, escalating unusual problems or deviations to your manager at your discretion
• Build and maintain relationships across business groups
• Provide guidance and assistance to lower-level Project Managers as needed
• Use Microsoft products, the Atlassian Tool Suite, and Salesforce knowledge to plan, track, and document project work

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience
• 2+ years of experience managing large, complex, multi-year projects
• Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft products such as Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio
• Intermediate knowledge of the Atlassian Tool Suite
• Intermediate knowledge of Salesforce technology
• Thorough knowledge and experience of PMBOK project management practices, including cost management, benefit analysis, risk management, resource management, and change control
• Thorough knowledge and experience of Agile Project Management and IT governance methodologies, tools, and approaches to successful project implementations
• Ability to lead, motivate, encourage, and influence others to perform
• Ability to analyze, produce solutions, and solve project issues
• Ability to build and maintain relationships across business groups
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification
• Agile certification
• Scrum Master certification
• Business knowledge of IV-D and Child Support Enforcement
