Role Summary

Duties & ResponsibilitiesClinical Assessment & Treatment

• Deliver direct occupational therapy treatments and clinical interventions to patients.

• Oversee, guide, and maintain the OT Functional Maintenance Program for patients.

• Provide clinical training, guidance, and supervision to Rehabilitation Aides, patients, and family members participating in functional maintenance activities.

• Perform therapeutic assessments and adapt interventions to support patient safety and daily living activities.

Team Collaboration & Center Leadership

• Participate actively in the team, offering clinical expertise for plan of care development, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary processes.

• Provide center-based supervision of the rehabilitation department in collaboration with Physical Therapy staff.

• Mentor and train support staff and Rehabilitation Aides as appropriate.

Quality & Administrative Operations

• Complete all administrative requirements, including attending team and staff meetings, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and record/track OT rehabilitation equipment.

• Practice investigative techniques and analytical thinking to determine optimal patient care approaches.

• Implement operational and policy changes as directed by leadership.

• Perform other related job duties as assigned.

Required QualificationsEducation, Licensure & Credentials

• Education: Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy academic program.

• State Licensure: Active license as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).

• National Certification: Successful completion of certification exam and active registration through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

Work Experience & Clinical Skills

• Experience: Two to four (2–4) years of clinical experience in physical disabilities, with a required focus on working with geriatric or frail elderly populations.

• Teamwork & Independence: Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

• Personal Attributes: Flexible, self-motivated, resourceful, and possessing strong analytical problem-solving skills.

• Physical & Environmental Capability: Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently (and up to 75 lbs. occasionally); ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work effectively in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Desired Qualifications

• Prior experience providing occupational therapy in a senior day health center, outpatient clinic, or ambulatory care facility.

Location and Work Type

• Work Type: Full-Time Position.

• Work Setting: On-Site Clinical / Ambulatory Care Center.

• Schedule: Standard daytime hours, Monday through Friday.
