A plastics manufacturer in Griffin, GA is hiring two Industrial Maintenance Technicians—one for day shift (6:00 AM–6:00 PM) and one for night shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM)—working a 2-2-3 schedule. Pay range (based on experience): $27-$37/hr. Full benefit package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment, including printing presses, bag machines, slitters, and laminators.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections to minimize downtime.
• Complete general facility maintenance, including air compressors, HVAC units (basic only), incinerators, and power systems.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Assist with new equipment installations and fabricate or modify machine parts as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment welcome to apply.
• Solid knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Technical degree, trade school training, or military mechanical experience is strongly preferred, HOWEVER, so is several years of career industrial maintenance experience with or without a technical degree.

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections to minimize downtime.
• Complete general facility maintenance, including air compressors, HVAC units (basic only), incinerators, and power systems.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Assist with new equipment installations and fabricate or modify machine parts as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Technical degree, trade school training, or military mechanical experience is strongly preferred.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 40lbs
• standing for 12 hours at one time
• working up to 2 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
