City/State: Nyack, New York Department: Recovery Center - Detox Work Shift: Day Work Days: Days vary Scheduled Hours: 7 AM-7 PM (11.5 hours daily; 18.75 hours per pay period) Hourly Rate: $57.11+ (subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors) Job Summary The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for managing, delegating, coordinating, and providing nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. The role involves effective communication with patients, significant others, and members of the interdisciplinary health care team, ensuring assessment, treatment, and care for patients ranging from neonate to geriatric. Essential Functions JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES Systematically provide nursing care to patients within the framework of the nursing process and established standards of practice. Integrate principles of patient safety in the provision of direct nursing care and medication management. Adhere to established system-wide communication standards and processes. Participate in designated forums addressing patient care, patient education, policy and procedures, safety and clinical outcomes. Demonstrate accountability for maintaining and improving professional knowledge and skill related to the area of practice. Document on addendum age‑specific competency. Qualifications Associate Degree required; Bachelor Degree preferred. 1 year Med/Surg experience preferred. National Certification in area of practice preferred. On Call required for OR, PACU, and Cath Lab. Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (within 6 months of hire/transfer), PALS (within 6 months of hire/transfer; PACU within 3 months), NRP (within 6 months of hire; PACU within 3 months), ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate, Infusion Center, Montefiore Nyack Hospital required.
