Back Fund Accountant Accountant Senior Fort Worth , Texas Fort Worth:Fin/Acct/HR:Direct Hire Sep 14, 2026 Hybrid Fund Accountant 10987 Job Description Description of Position The fund accountant, under the direction of the fund accounting manager, will manage the day-to-day accounting functions and financial reporting for a number of private equity or hedge funds as well as several investment management companies. The position requires a comprehensive knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, ranging from processing journal entries and trade or investment transactions to cash management, account reconciliation, and preparation of period-end financial statements with supporting schedules. This role requires a significant level of individual initiative, the ability to multi-task, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience in public accounting, a family office, private equity, or financial services industry Bachelor's degree in accounting, or finance with accounting experience Experience in partnership accounting, multi-tiered entity structures, or intercompany general ledger accounts General ledger experience with adeptness in journal entries Experience preparing financial statements Solid understanding of general ledger account reconciliations, including bank or brokerage accounts Strong Excel skills (lookups, sumifs, pivot tables) and adept at learning new accounting applications Must be self-motivated and willing to take action beyond formal job responsibilities Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Must be detail oriented, possess effective communication and multi-tasking skills Preferred Skills and Experience 3.5 GPA or higher CPA credentials or parts passed Experience with Investran or comparable fund accounting system Experience with data architecture, data integration, and data lake concepts Experience using A.I., business intelligence, automation, dashboarding, and reporting applications (Copilot, Power BI, etc.) Principal Responsibilities Post cash and non-cash transactions daily in maintenance of the general ledger Perform bank, brokerage account and other general ledger account reconciliations or analyses Monitor cash balances daily and assist with cash management Prepare various reports or analyses in support of management, the family, or the investment team Record investment valuations, asset acquisitions, and dispositions Complete the monthly close procedures and generate deliverables in compliance with GAAP or tax basis Prepare quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules Prepare debt and other compliance requirements for credit facilities and regulatory agencies Serve as liaison with auditors, tax advisors, compliance officers, and external fund advisors Perform taxable income reconciliations and accumulate information for tax estimates or returns Assist with ad hoc reporting or special projects as necessary #J-18808-Ljbffr Thomas, Edwards Group
