Sr. Software Development Engineer

Position Summary Sr. Software Development Engineer at Aetna Resources, LLC (a CVS Health company) in Hartford, CT. Design and develop digital software applications and platforms. Responsibilities include: analysis of user needs, development of software solutions, feasibility assessment, technical design documentation, upgrading existing software to improve performance and reliability, writing and reviewing high‑quality code, unit and automation testing, supporting applications that process prescriptions and claims, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, code review, project delivery, quality assurance, promoting software development best practices, and mentoring junior team members. Telecommuting is available. Multiple positions. Requirements Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience in this occupation or a related one. Additionally, five years of experience with each of the following: Java, Python, or Node.js COBOL and JCL IBM DB2, Oracle, or Hibernate SQL, MS Access, or MS Excel Crystal Reports AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Preparing high‑level designs, low‑level designs, test plans, and complete project development plans Providing estimations for enhancement and maintenance requests for applications Technical design of business requirements Pay Range $147,430.00/year to $203,940.00/year. Base salary may vary based on experience, education, geography, and other factors. Eligible for bonus, commission, short‑term incentive, and equity award programs.
