Integrated Product Team Lead - Nacelle (Onsite)

Location: US-CT-EAST Hartford · 400 Main St (approx) – Onsite. Role Overview Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead – Nacelle for Mechanical Systems, Externals & Nacelles (MSEN) Engineering. Leading part-level ownership, technical execution, risk management, and budget alignment from validation through senior-level delivery. What You Will Do: Act as the primary point of accountability to the CIPT for all program requirements. Lead the IPT through technical and program milestones, proactively managing and closing critical technical risks. Oversee IPT financial allocations and project timelines to meet program delivery requirements. Direct and monitor IPT technical and business metrics; ensure outputs meet or exceed standards. Present and collaborate with Customers, Senior Management, SIPT, and IPMT. Provide technical support for validation engine build and test activities, including leading Nacelle Air Leakage Checks. Travel up to 15% (Domestic and International). What You Will Learn: Interface with external aerospace customers and senior executives to translate complex engineering data. Manage and negotiate tasks, resolve conflicts, and drive teams to meet strict milestones. Apply advanced project management frameworks and understand impact of engineering choices on schedules and budgets. Present complex technical data and risk mitigation plans to senior management and customers. Mentor junior engineers and advance team performance. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field AND 8 years of relevant experience, OR an advanced degree AND 5 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes project management and technical engineering. Preferred: Basic understanding of Pratt & Whitney’s Leadership Operating Model (LOM) or similar. Background in aircraft structures, propulsion systems, or engine components, with engine validation testing experience (e.g., air leakage or pressure testing). Proven leadership of cross‑functional teams and project delivery through formal milestones (PDR/CDR) without direct managerial authority. Experience managing project schedules, tracking engineering metrics, and aligning budgets with program requirements. PMP certification. Ability to present complex technical data and risk mitigation plans to senior management and customers. Track record of mentoring and providing strategic technical guidance to junior engineers.
