Apply today!Job Details Position Summary:The Senior Program Manager is responsible for leading a major workstream within a large, complex enterprise-wide transformation program. Reporting to the Sr. Director/Program Lead, this role is accountable for the day-to-day leadership, planning, coordination, execution oversight, and delivery management of an assigned workstream.The Senior Program Manager will work closely with business, IT, functional leaders, and implementation partners to ensure the workstream is aligned to overall program objectives, integrated with related workstreams, and delivered on time and with quality. This role requires strong leadership, structure, and cross-functional coordination in a highly complex environment.Key Responsibilities:Workstream LeadershipLead an assigned workstream within the broader enterprise-wide transformation programOwn day-to-day planning, coordination, execution oversight, and delivery tracking for the workstreamEnsure workstream objectives, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies are clearly defined and actively managedDrive accountability across team members and stakeholders to achieve committed outcomesPlanning and ExecutionDevelop and maintain detailed workstream plans, timelines, milestones, and action logsCoordinate activities across business, IT, functional teams, and external implementation partnersMonitor progress against plan and proactively identify risks, issues, and delivery gapsDrive timely resolution of blockers and escalate matters as appropriateRisk, Issue, and Dependency ManagementIdentify, track, and manage workstream risks, issues, assumptions, and dependenciesPartner with other workstream leads to address cross-functional impacts and integration pointsEscalate critical risks and decisions to the Program Lead with recommended actionsGovernance and ReportingPrepare and provide regular status updates on workstream progress, milestones, risks, issues, and decisionsSupport program governance forums by ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent reportingMaintain documentation, decision logs, action items, and key workstream artifactsStakeholder ManagementBuild strong relationships with business, IT, and functional stakeholders across the assigned workstreamPartner with implementation teams and vendors to align on scope, deliverables, and timelinesFacilitate discussions, drive alignment, and support decision-making across stakeholdersBusiness Readiness and AdoptionPartner with business leads and change partners to support readiness, process alignment, and adoption activitiesHelp ensure the workstream is not only delivered from a technical perspective but is also operationally ready for implementationReinforce focus on business outcomes, user impact, and sustainable adoptionQuality and Delivery DisciplineDrive disciplined execution, issue resolution, and follow-through across the workstreamEnsure alignment with overall program governance, standards, templates, and reporting expectationsSupport integrated planning and coordination with the broader transformation office and program leadership teamFinancials/ Budget managementLead workstream budget management, including actuals, forecast, accruals, and variance analysis.Partner with Finance and PMO to maintain accurate financial reporting and forecast updates aligned to scope, resources, and delivery plans.Drive disciplined, repeatable financial management processes aligned with program governance and financial best practices.Identify, communicate, and help mitigate budget risks, forecast changes, and cost impacts across the workstream.Ensure financial controls and documentation are audit-ready and able to withstand internal and external audit scrutiny.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree required8+ years of program or project management experience, including leadership of complex, cross-functional initiativesExperience leading a major workstream within a large enterprise-wide transformation, ERP transformation, or similarly complex strategic programStrong experience in integrated planning, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordinationExperience working across business and technology teams in a matrixed environmentDeep expertise in large scale Program budget managementDemonstrated ability to manage complexity, drive execution, and influence without direct authorityStrong written, verbal, and executive-level communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with large-scale ERP or enterprise transformation programsExperience working with system integrators and third-party implementation partnersFamiliarity with change management, business readiness, and adoption planningPMP, Agile, or related certifications preferredExperience in complex, highly regulated, or global environments is a plusKey CompetenciesProgram and workstream leadershipPlanning and execution managementCross-functional coordinationRisk and issue managementStakeholder engagementProblem-solving and decision supportCommunication and reportingAccountability and follow-throughSuccess in This RoleSuccess in this role will be demonstrated through strong leadership of the assigned workstream, timely delivery of milestones and deliverables, proactive management of risks and dependencies, effective coordination across stakeholders, and clear contribution to the broader transformation program’s objectives and outcomes.What Cencora offersWe provide compensation, benefits, and resources that enable a highly inclusive culture and support our team members’ ability to live with purpose every day.
