Environmental Attorney

Gordon Feinblatt LLC is seeking an experienced attorney to join our industry-leading practice. This is a first-chair opportunity at the center of Marylands energy transition, representing clients in high-stakes matters including before the Maryland Public Service Commission on the issues defining the states energy and public utility future.

Marylands energy and public utility landscape is changing faster than at any point in a generation, and our practice sits at the forefront of that change. The attorney in this role will take a leading position on sophisticated regulatory work, including:
CPCN permitting for solar, battery energy storage, and fossil fuel generation projects
Regulatory and policy matters , including Commission rulemakings and legislative initiatives in Annapolis
Cutting-edge issues such as interconnection, energy storage, community solar, and net energy metering
We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds, including private practice, government service, or in-house counsel roles. First-chair experience in contested regulatory, administrative, or judicial proceedings
A fast learner who is excited to be on the legal cutting edge
Significant experience in energy, environment, and public utility law, ideally 6+ years
An existing client base is a bonus but not required.
