Inside Sales Representative

Position Summary

Corey Construction is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and customer focused Inside Sales Representative to support our growing Residential New Construction division. This role is responsible for managing customer relationships, preparing bids and proposals, coordinating with estimating and operations teams, and helping drive sales growth through exceptional communication and service.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, has strong attention to detail, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while supporting builders, developers, and internal teams.

Essential Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Support

• Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, purchasing departments, construction managers, and project teams.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide outstanding customer service.
• Prepare and deliver pricing proposals, bid packages, and contract documentation.
• Follow up on outstanding bids and opportunities to maximize awarded work.
• Coordinate pricing updates with estimating and management teams.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to expand business with existing customers.

Project Coordination

• Work closely with estimating, scheduling, purchasing, and operations to ensure smooth project execution.
• Assist customers with product selections, roofing specifications, and available options.
• Verify plans, specifications, and scope prior to project award.
• Coordinate communication regarding project changes, scheduling updates, and customer requests.
• Track project status from bid through completion.

Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate customer information within CRM and company databases.
• Generate reports on sales activity, bid status, and awarded projects.
• Organize customer files, contracts, and pricing documentation.
• Monitor and update bid logs and customer pipelines.
• Support outside sales representatives and leadership with administrative tasks.

Business Development

• Identify potential new builder and contractor opportunities.
• Participate in customer meetings and presentations when needed.
• Assist with customer onboarding and account setup.
• Represent Corey Construction professionally in all customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of inside sales, customer service, construction, or building materials experience preferred.
• Experience within roofing, construction, homebuilding, or related industries is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• CRM software experience
• Estimating or construction management software experience
• Blueprint and construction plan reading (preferred)
• Knowledge of residential roofing systems and products
• Understanding of homebuilder purchasing processes

Physical Requirements

• Primarily office environment.
• Occasional travel to customer offices, job sites, and company meetings.
