Job Overview The Personal Banker II position provides an exceptional customer experience by building and maintaining long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. The banker helps customers understand and address their financial needs and provides solutions that span the customer lifecycle through a consultative sales and service process, while responsibly managing risk and adhering to banking policies. Responsibilities Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach efforts in person, over the phone, or through other channels as appropriate. Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice. Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered. Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customers’ needs are met and all problems are resolved. Analyze customer credit data and related financial information to ensure customers receive appropriate solutions that align with their needs. Provide customer support that reinforces the value of current and new technology. Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of customer service experience, or a college degree, or equivalent military experience. Experience in a sales environment required; experience in the financial industry a plus. Demonstrated ability to develop comfort with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships. Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication. Capable of analyzing credit and financial information. Exhibits business acumen. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions. Applicants must register for the S.A.F.E. Act through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment. Working Conditions Normal office environment; extended viewing of computer screens. Periodic travel within the Bancorp footprint to attend meetings and/or training. Salary and Benefits Base salary: $44,300.00 – $73,000.00 USD annually. This role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan based on company, line of business, and/or individual performance.
