Job description:

Harrisonburg Family Practice is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team in Harrisonburg, Virginia,

The selected candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic laboratory testing using a chemistry analyzer, maintaining laboratory equipment,  and  ensuring accurate and timely test results. This role also includes following quality control and quality assurance protocols, interpreting laboratory findings, and collaborating with healthcare providers to support excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field

⚫ MLS/MLT certification or equivalent (CLS/CLT) preferred

• Strong proficiency in Medical Technology and Laboratory Science
• Hands-on laboratory experience and technical skills

Experience and proficiency implementing and maintaining Quality Control and Quality Assurance standards

• Excellent analytical skills, organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team of doctors and clinical support staff

• Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred

Although seeking a full time individual, less hours per week would  be  entertained. This is a 7 doctor practice and has a lab volume that will require 32-40 hours each week.

Our pay scale will be based on your availability, qualifications, and experience.
