Responsibilities The LifeWorks Day School in Levittown, PA is actively hiring for certified Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 Academic School Year. The Special Education Teacher provides academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting; monitors student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation and other quantitative methods; observes and records student progress daily; develops and monitors student’s IEP, reports, goals, objectives, attends IEP meetings, establishes, maintains, and works toward student goals as outlined in the IEP; manages student behavior through individualized motivational systems, S.M.A.R.T. Program and positive behavior support plans. Qualifications Bachelor’s level degree in Special Education required. PA certification in Special Education is required. Content area certifications preferred. Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting preferred.
