Accounting Support Specialist

Position Summary The Accounting Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, with a focus on accounts receivable, invoicing, and EDI processes. This position helps ensure accurate financial records, timely billing, and efficient processing of transactions across the organization. Key Responsibilities Process and record accounts receivable transactions, including payment application and tracking customer balances Prepare, review, and distribute invoices to ensure timely and accurate billing Manage and process EDI Advance Ship Notices (ASNs) and related documentation Maintain accurate financial records and assist with reconciliation of accounts Support general accounting functions across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing Communicate with customers and vendors to resolve payment or billing discrepancies Generate basic reports and provide support to the Senior Accounting Manager Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AP and Payroll, to ensure accurate financial processing Perform additional duties as assigned to support the accounting team Qualifications 1+ year of accounting experience (AP and/or AR), preferably in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook High school diploma required; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of accounting in a manufacturing environment Accounts payable and accounts receivable experience Microsoft Excel and Outlook proficiency Key Skills Basic understanding of accounting principles Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Effective communication and teamwork skills High level of reliability, integrity, and confidentiality Full-time, hourly position in a professional office environment Monday–Friday schedule with overtime as needed Team Player Works well as a member of a group. Detail Oriented Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well. Self-Starter Inspired to perform without outside help.
