Supporting new patient admissions, the part-time Patient Intake Specialist will gather required information, verify insurance coverage, and coordinate care steps in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities Collect and enter accurate demographic and clinical information for new patient admissions Verify insurance coverage and submit follow-up authorizations as needed Communicate with patients and internal teams to ensure timely completion of intake requirements Required qualifications 2+ years of experience in healthcare intake, medical office administration, or insurance support Experience with insurance verification or authorizations preferred High school diploma or GED required Familiarity with healthcare documentation and insurance workflows Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
