Secretary/Technician, Full Time Days, 8a - 4p, Pediatric Multidisciplinary Neurology, Atlantic Health, Morristown Medical Center

Job Title

Supports Neuroscience clinics including Refractory Epilepsy, Neuromuscular Disorders, Plagiocephaly, Spasticity and Gait Disorders, and Goryeb Neuro-oncology Program. Administrative duties for all clinics including phone calls, check in and registration, and rooming.

Job Description

Answering telephones, organizing medical records, greeting visitors and physicians, organizing the unit with forms and office supplies

Assisting physicians and staff with electronic order entry

Measuring and recording vital signs, helping to assure a safe patient care environment and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

License/Certifications:

• BLS preferred
• CNA preferred

Minimum Experience:

• 1-2 years previous patient care experience preferred; Customer service experience preferred
• Nursing assistant experience, or currently pursuing nursing degree, preferred
• Medical Assistant experience or registration acceptable
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient care coordination role within pediatrics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on working with children and their families.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures specific to pediatric neurology.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with an understanding of the unique needs of pediatric patients.
• Multi-lingual preferred
