Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (RN PACU)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures. This role requires a strong clinical background and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Shift Details

Schedule: 8 AM - 6 PM
Variable hours may be required

Key Responsibilities

Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition post-surgery.
Provide immediate care and interventions as necessary for patients recovering from anesthesia.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Coordinate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and recovery expectations.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a PACU, ICU, or similar setting.
Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
