Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced RN for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at a prominent healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized recovery care to post-surgical patients, ensuring their safe and smooth transition from anesthesia.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient condition during recovery from anesthesia.
• Perform post-operative evaluations to identify potential complications.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to develop and update care plans.
• Document patient care activities accurately and comprehensively.
• Educate patients and families regarding post-discharge care and instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Have at least 2 years of recent PACU or post-anesthesia recovery experience.
• Possess strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including variable shifts.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
