Senior Java Backend Developer

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Java Backend Developer will design, develop, and support enterprise-grade APIs and cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on building scalable microservices using modern Java technologies. Key responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create enterprise API and event-driven integration solutions Develop software using Agile methodologies, leveraging DevOps practices and automated testing Design and implement secure, scalable microservices and maintain event-driven systems utilizing Kafka Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience 7+ years of software development experience building enterprise applications and APIs 5+ years of Java development experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework Experience deploying cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Proficiency with Apache Kafka and NoSQL databases like MongoDB Atlas
