SPEC Building Materials Corporation, a leading wholesale distributor of building materials, is hiring an Inside Sales/Customer Service Associate to manage order placement, sales support, and customer relations for commercial and residential roofing contractors. The role is full‑time with a base salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year and is located at 2655 N. Airport Commerce, Springfield, Missouri. Responsibilities Selling building materials from the customer service counter. Maintaining and growing the existing customer base through prospecting, account development, quoting, and follow‑up. Sourcing special order items for contractors. Ensuring all customer sales orders are complete and accurate. Advising customers on inventory levels and pricing. Handling cash application and reporting. Answering phones and directing calls. Scheduling and answering questions regarding deliveries. Requirements Minimum education: GED or high school diploma. Working knowledge of computers and software. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Strong organization and communication skills. Strong math skills. High energy level and a desire to succeed. Past experience in a building materials‑related industry is preferred.
