Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician (Certified Surgical Technologist - CST) to work in the Operating Room at their facility located in Portland, Maine. This position requires candidates to possess vascular experience and robotics experience. The role involves working in a fast-paced surgical environment, with candidates expected to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Specialty: Operating Room (ORT)
• Location: Portland, Maine
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, either from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Number of Openings: 1
• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification, at least 2 years of experience, vascular experience, robotics experience, familiarity with Epic Electronic Medical Record system, and Maine local or willing to obtain licensure.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma (Level 1), open vascular procedures, and other specialty surgical experience such as neuro or orthopedic trauma.
• Additional Information:
  • The position involves working in an operating room with a patient ratio of 1:1.
  • The team utilizes equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and an intuitive robotic system.
  • The role includes night and weekend shifts, with one overnight call (11 PM to 7 AM) for trauma.
  • Call may be scheduled based on specialty team guidelines (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Orthopedic).
  • Attire required is hospital-issued teal scrubs.
