A Wrecker Operator is responsible for safely recovering and transporting disabled or damaged vehicles within the local area. This role requires operating heavy machinery independently across rotating shifts while adhering to safety standards. The operator performs routine vehicle maintenance and applies securement techniques to ensure safe load transport. Effective customer interaction and time management are also essential to this role.

Responsibilities

• Recover disabled or damaged vehicles using appropriate equipment
• Operate towing and recovery machinery safely and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport
• Perform routine maintenance on towing vehicles and equipment
• Interact professionally with customers during service calls

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience operating heavy machinery
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and vehicle recovery techniques
• Strong understanding of safety compliance standards
• Basic vehicle maintenance skills
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
• Good time management skills
