Restaurant Manager

Job Summary:The Restaurant Manager will work alongside and directly support the General Manager with responsibility for team leadership and development, beverage/food functions, guest and employee satisfaction, private and hosted events, and revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer skills are also required as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including, but not limited to Word, Outlook, and Excel. Due to the fast-paced nature of the business, the ability to multi-task and work under pressure while still being detail oriented is imperative.Essential Job Functions; include but not limited to:Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, and knowledge of operationsExperience working in food and beverage-centric concept, high volume but intimate atmosphere idealExceptional organizational, verbal and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skills and experience working with VIP and regular clienteleAbility to multi-task and perform calmly in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail, efficient, reliable, personableExperience in training and mentoring of staffKnowledge of inventory management and previous scheduling experienceExcellent interpersonal skills to communicate with management, executive team, and employeesA strong working knowledge of POS systemsAbility to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment and maintain physical and mental stamina while dealing effectively with guests, management, and team membersAbility to collaborate with others, accept direction, and practice excellent time management skillsAbility to address challenging situations with clients and team members with the utmost tact and professionalismResponsible for the successful achievement of all financial, quality and service goals for the organization along with the General ManagerAssist in the determination of procedural infractions by team members and issue appropriate level of discipline.Must possess effective communication skills for dealing with diverse staffAll other job duties assignedPreferred Qualifications:Proven customer service experience as a managerAbility to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staffFamiliarity with restaurant management software, like R365, Aloha, ToastStrong leadership, motivational and people skillsAcute financial management skills, accountingStrong supervisory and leadership skillsAble to work flexible hours necessary including off hours, weekends and holidays in a 24-hour locationMust possess effective communication skills for dealing with diverse staffPhysical Requirements:Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quicklyAbility to stand for prolonged periods of time. In some instances, the entire shiftIntermittent periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerAble to lift at least but not limited to 50 pounds and if more must be with assistanceRead and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)Ability to move quickly turning from left to right or right to leftReach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stoopingAbility to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° FRegularly required to handle hot food and beverages.Preferred Education and Experience:Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledgeProven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Floor Manager, Hospitality Manager or in a similar role3-5 years of food and beverage service industry experience requiredThe LEV Restaurant Group was founded in 2002 as a vehicle to inspire, create, develop and operate world class experiences for food & beverage concepts in the Restaurant Industry.
