Job Summary A day in the life of an Accounting Manager: The Accounting Manager will assist the Controller with most aspects of the accounting department, including management of the different teams within the group. This includes management of the day‑to‑day functions, closing tasks, and audits to ensure deadlines are met and the functions are completed with accuracy. The role also involves managing the closing process, projects, year‑end, and filing requirements to ensure timely completion, reviewing work completed by the team for accuracy and adherence to agreements, testing for completeness of work, keeping the Controller informed of important changes, and managing and developing the growth, productivity, efficiency, and happiness of the employees in the department. The position will supervise 2‑5 employees and requires decision making and independent judgment on a day‑to‑day basis. Responsibilities Manage the day‑to‑day functions, closing tasks, and audits to ensure deadlines are met and the functions are completed with accuracy. (20%) Manage the closing process, projects, year‑end, and filing requirements to ensure timely completion. (20%) Review work completed by the team to ensure accuracy and adherence to the agreements with our clients. (20%) Review and test for completeness of work completed by the teams. (20%) Ensure the Controller is informed and aware of important changes, happenings, and any other pertinent information. (20%) Manage and develop the growth, productivity, efficiency, and happiness of the employees in our department.
