**Senior Accountant | Dulles, VA(Onsite)**
I'm partnering with a highly stable, globally recognized organization to identify a Senior Accountant for their growing finance team in Northern Virginia.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants visibility to executive leadership, exposure to international operations, and a clear path for long-term growth within a well-established organization.
**Responsibilities**
* Lead monthly and year-end close activities
* Prepare and post journal entries
* Perform account and bank reconciliations
* Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and financial reporting
* Support annual audit activities
* Reconcile payroll-related accounting entries
* Partner closely with AP and AR teams
* Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
* Work with foreign currency transactions and international accounting matters
* Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
* 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
* Strong experience with month-end and year-end close
* Hands-on experience with journal entries and bank reconciliations
* Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs
* Strong understanding of GAAP
* Experience preparing financial statements
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
* Experience with Great Plains is a significant plus
