Senior Accountant

This is a new role with the real estate arm of a well-known family office based in Northern VA! This is a full cycle accounting position, reporting to the Controller, in a small department so it's a great learning experience with room for growth in a friendly relaxed environment. This role also works closely with the President and VP of Development.

• Prepare Accrual Books for Operating Properties (office, residential & industrial) and Active & Pre-Developments, including variance analysis & cash flow projections
• Oversee the Accounts Payable process using automated A/P software
• Record receipts, wires & check runs, bank reconciliations
• Assist with audits & tax cap preparation, budgets, and lender reporting
• Communicate with the project team, onsite management, lenders and investors
• Own accounting, including capital calls & preferred return calculations

• B.S. in Accounting
• CPA is preferred
• 3-5 years of experience
• Real estate experience
• Yardi experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
