Registered Nurse - ICU

Schedule

12 HR Nights, 18:45-07:15

Assignment Details

36 hours per week, 13-week contracts accepted. Weekend requirement of 12 weekend shifts per contract.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Experience in the Medical Intensive Care Unit
• Patient ratio experience of 1:3 required
• Meditech experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Stroke Life Support
• Skills: Interpretation/Management of dysrhythmias, 12 lead EKG/ECG, IV insulin protocols, Intake and Output monitoring, Management of Ports, Blood Product Administration, Starting and maintaining IVs, Titrate Cardiac and Vasoactive drips, CVA/Acute Stroke management, Care of Ventilated Patients, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Infection Prevention, and Isolation Precautions/PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care management for patients with severe illnesses
• Monitor patient condition by interpreting vital signs and other metrics
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and evaluate patient care
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery processes
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Compliance / Notes

RTO after booking is subject to review. Orientation includes 24 hours unit orientation and hospital orientation during the first week, with daily classes attendance required.
