JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Jennings, Louisiana Facility: Ochsner American Legion Hospital Health System: SCP Health - Locums Coverage Period: Jun 01, 2025 Ongoing Shift Schedule: Days, 6a 6p Hours Per Shift: 12 Shifts Per Week: 3-4 Number of Positions: 3 Reason for Coverage: Full Time Vacancy Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered CALL COVERAGE Call Required: No PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 38 patients per day Case Mix: Emergency Medicine procedures FACILITY INFORMATION Support Staff Available: NPPAs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60 days JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC EM or BC IM/FM Licenses: Active LA License, LA DEA and CS DEA / CDS: Active DEA and CS required Certifications: PALS, ATLS, ACLS Experience: 2 years in emergency medicine required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED Manage an average of 38 patients per day with support from NPPA staff Work 12-hour day shifts from 6a to 6p Supervise and collaborate with NPPA in Fast Track Maintain active Louisiana medical license, DEA, and CDS along with required certifications (PALS, ATLS, ACLS)
