Speech Therapist

Parrish Home Health – PRN Speech Language Pathologist / Speech Therapist The Speech Therapist is responsible for assessing, evaluating, and treating patients with speech and language disorders, swallowing difficulties, and cognitive impairments in a home health environment. Primary Responsibilities Provide services within scope of practice as defined by state laws, following the plan of care and coordinating with other team members. Assess patient level of function using diagnostic and prognostic tests and assist the physician in developing the therapy plan. Treat patients to communicate effectively according to their condition, following accepted standards of practice. Observe, record, and report patient response to treatment to the supervising nurse and/or physician. Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and other team members in speech therapy practices they can participate in. Provide care regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client. Required Qualifications Licensed Speech Therapist in state of residence. Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit. Preferred Qualifications Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Availability to work a weekend rotation. Pay & Benefits Hourly pay range: $36.05 to $54.05 per hour (full‑time).
